Art Exhibition Information for Exhibiting Artists


RULES AND FAQs OF NEW BUCKENHAM ART EXHIBITION 2022

  1. Entry Form: Should be completed and returned as soon as possible but no later than Tuesday 1st March 2022 together with your entry fee (payment can be made by bank transfer or cheque). All artwork must be for sale. Up to FOUR pictures or sculptures can be submitted.
  • Fees and Commission: The entry fee is £2.50 for each item and 25% commission will be taken on all sales.
  • Types of Exhibits:  Two-dimensional artwork in any medium. To hang from an average hook is acceptable. These must be securely strung ready for hanging. Central metal hanging devices will be rejected. Pictures that exceed 32” in either width or length will count as two pictures. Pictures that exceed 40” should be discussed before submitting. Three dimensional artworks are equally welcome though if large or heavy, please consult us before submitting.
  • Delivery of Exhibits: All work must be delivered to the Village Hall on Thursday 14th April between 7.00 pm and 8.30 pm or on Friday 15th April between 9.30 am and 11.30 am. In exceptional circumstances delivery could be arranged outside these dates. Please phone to discuss.

  • Collection of Unsold Artwork and Cards: Exhibits may be collected from the Village Hall on Monday 18th April between 4.45pm and 6.30pm Payment for sold work will be sent within 4 weeks.
  • Unframed Artwork and Cards: Artists who plan to enter 4 items can exhibit 5 unframed artworks or prints and up to a maximum of 20 cards. There will be no charge for this, but we will take 25% commission on sales. Artwork must be mounted, and cellophane wrapped with clear labels showing your name and price of the artwork. We will supply browsers for the artwork and boxes for the greetings cards. All cards must be wrapped in cellophane and clearly marked with your name and price of the card. All cards should be the same price. Delivery and collection will be the same as for the pictures.
  • Disputes: The Organisers will take every reasonable precaution, but no responsibility will be accepted for loss or damage to the work you have entered. The decision on the Organisers shall be final in all matters concerning the Exhibition and the right is expressly reserved to refuse any entry without explanation.
  • Personal data: We will use your contact details to process your application for the art exhibition and include your name and artwork in our catalogue. Unless otherwise instructed we will retain your details to enable us to contact you regarding the exhibition in future years. Submitting your entry form indicates your acceptance of this use of your data and the acceptance of the New Buckenham Art exhibition rules.

I have some printed cards of my work can I sell these?
