New Buckenham Village Hall

Art Exhibition 2018 New Buckenham

For over 25 years the New Buckenham Art Exhibition has been staged at their Village Hall. Artists come from both Suffolk and Norfolk displaying a variety of styles in watercolour, oils, pastels, acrylics, inks and pencil. There is also a selection of unframed pictures and prints. Some Artists also display their greeting cards. This all gives an interesting and lively show for the visitors.
The exhibition takes place over the easter weekend with this years opening night on Friday March 30th. Admission to the opening night is £4 and includes a glass of wine and nibbles. Many people enjoy this evening, particularly the serious picture buyers, and many paintings are sold.
The exhibition continues over the weekend, Satrurday 31st March -Monday 2nd April 11am – 4:30pm each day. Admission is £2 and all money raised is donated to St Martins Church, New Buckenham and the Village Hall.
If you have not been to this before do come this year, you won’t be disappointed and you might even find a picture you would lve for your home.Bring your family and friends and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with homemade cakes.

Art Exhibition 2017

New Buckenham Art Exhibition

I think it would be fair to say that the New Buckenham Exhibition over the twenty years has built up quite a reputation for being a quality show. It has always been held over the Easter Weekend  and this year is no exception. The Opening Night is Friday 14th April  starting at 7.30 p.m. and finishing at 10 p.m. admission is £4.00 and this includes your glass of wine and nibbles . It is always a special night where lots of people gather as soon as the doors are open to find their very special picture. Many are sold on this evening and often to people who have bought a picture at the exhibition before. However if you prefer a more calm leisurely viewing then the Saturday, Sunday, or Monday are the days to go and enjoy this cultural event. The exhibition is open on Saturday 15th Sunday 16th and Monday 17th April  from 11.a.m to 4.30 p.m.  Admission is £1.50

The exhibition varies from year to year as new Artists exhibit. However there are some artists that have been exhibiting with us since it opened twenty years ago. The quality is always good and it seems to get better each year. There is an interesting mix of styles and mediums. Water colours and oils are probably the most popular and then you find some incredible drawings, stitch work and always an individual view point in photography. I think it is fair to say there is something for everyone. Remember the dates and bring your family and friends  and maybe you find a painting to buy.
